What is Local SEO?

In a nutshell, it lets people who have a skill and a website – offer their services through their website, to their own local community, whether that’s a town/city or county. The Local Pack results (as it’s now called) used to show 7 businesses listed but in August 2015 Google reduced the number of displayed businesses down from 7 to just 3, those that used to be displayed on page 1 of Google in positions 4, 5, 6 and 7 simply no longer show.

So, if you’re a ‘butcher in blackpool’ you’ll see this sort of result in Google and exactly the same sort of thing everytime that you or anybody else searches Google for a trade or service in any of the towns, cities or counties in and around the UK.

If you’re one of those butchers in Blackpool that’s managed to be listed above then you can stop reading right now and go back to the shop, but if you’re not one of those displayed above, then you’re clearly losing out – and Fresh Bananas can help!
