SEO that fixes the website, builds authority and tracks what matters.

Search performance is rarely one isolated problem. I look at the pages, code, content, authority and customer journey together, then build a practical plan around the work most likely to improve enquiries or sales.

One strategy, not a bag of disconnected tactics

SEO works best when every part of the website tells the same story. The page targeting a search needs the right structure and content. The site needs to make that page easy to crawl and easy to reach. The business needs enough real-world authority to compete. And the visitor needs a clear reason to choose you after the click. My job is to connect those parts rather than sell whichever tactic happens to fit a package.

On-site SEO

Titles, headings, copy, page purpose, internal links and site architecture are mapped around how customers search and what they need next. Competing pages are merged or separated deliberately, thin pages are strengthened, and valuable phrases get a clear owner rather than three URLs fighting over them. Titles and descriptions can be checked in the free SERP snippet preview before they go live.

Technical SEO

I crawl the site, compare it with what search engines have indexed and trace the technical decisions affecting visibility. That can include redirects, canonical tags, rendering, structured data, sitemaps, crawl controls, performance and template behaviour. With 25+ years of coding experience, the investigation does not stop at a software warning.

Off-site SEO and authority

Where the gap sits beyond the website, I work on the signals that make the business more credible: relevant mentions, links, citations, partnerships, reclamation and outreach. The aim is not to collect the largest possible backlink number. It is to earn the kinds of references a real business in your market should reasonably have.

I do not sell bulk links, private networks, irrelevant guest posts or placements that only survive while somebody keeps paying for them.

Content and conversion

Search traffic is wasted when the page answers the query badly or gives the visitor nowhere useful to go. I write and restructure service pages, categories, product templates, guides and supporting content around both search intent and the commercial action: enquire, call, book or buy.

Specialist work for local businesses and online shops

Local search adds Business Profiles, reviews, citations and location relevance. Ecommerce adds catalogue scale, variants, faceted navigation, category architecture and product data. The underlying principles are the same, but the implementation is specialised enough to deserve its own plan.

How an engagement works

Start with the website and the outcome you need. I review the situation, explain the most important gap and, where there is a sensible fit, send a fixed and itemised quote. Some clients need a one-off audit, some need implementation, and some need ongoing work across the site and its authority. Nothing is bundled simply to make the invoice larger.

Questions people ask

What is included in an SEO project?

The scope depends on the site, but it can include technical auditing, keyword and page mapping, titles and headings, content, internal linking, structured data, speed and crawl work, local optimisation, ecommerce architecture, off-site authority and reporting.

Do you start with on-site or off-site SEO?

I start by identifying the actual gap. Weak foundations are fixed before authority is pushed at them, but a technically sound site in a competitive market may need off-site work from the outset. The quote explains the order and the reason.

Can you implement the recommendations?

Yes. I can make many on-page, content and technical changes directly, build or redesign the website where needed, or work alongside your existing developer. Implementation responsibility is agreed clearly before work begins.

How is success measured?

Against the outcome the project is meant to improve: qualified visibility, enquiries, sales, revenue and the supporting search data. Rankings are useful evidence, but they are not the final business result.

Do you require a long contract?

No. Fixed projects have a defined scope, and ongoing work runs month to month. The work should continue because it is useful, not because the cancellation clause is difficult.
